Posted on 02/08/2024
Dear Spartans,
Please congratulate the following science students, who recently represented Milwee at the 2024 Seminole County Science, Engineering, and Math Fair!
Seventh grader Steven G. was awarded First Place in the Plant Sciences for his outstanding experiment, “Impact Strength of Phototropism and Gravitropism.” He will now go on to represent Milwee at the State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida! Congratulations Steven!!!
Honorable mention was awarded to Thomas D., whose work in Chemistry ("Finding and Comparing Calorific Values of Corn, Canola and Peanut Oils") was also recognized at last night's awards ceremony at Millennium Middle School. Great work Thomas!
Kudos also to our other regional competitors, which included sixth graders Kenneth K. ("Crops on Mars") and Victoria B. ("How to Cycle an Aquarium for Use for Fish Faster"), and seventh grader Brayden V. ("Performance of Baseballs of Varying Density"). These students all brought home pride and honor to our school. Congratulations!
Finally, special thanks to Ms. Cole, Mr. Lee, Ms. Pape, and all other educators who helped guide these students to excellence.
Go Spartans!
