Title I is a federally funded program which assists schools who have a higher percentage of students on free and reduced lunch. What is Title I?
Title I is a federally funded program available to schools with a high percentage of students who are on free or reduced lunch. These funds are above and beyond the district funds given to schools and are to used to enhance student achievement.
Milwee is a Title I school. Being a Title I school is based on the number of students who receive free and reduced lunch. Milwee has the following programs:

SCPS Pre-IB curriculum (advanced curriculum with link to International Baccalaureate Programs)

Project Lead the Way (Gateway to Technology) pre-engineering curriculum with direct link to Lyman High School's engineering curriculum

Traditional academics

Electives including video game design, music, physical education, web design, art, technical art, health and more.
There are several requirements which Title I schools must meet. One of the most important is to develop a parent involvement plan for the school. This must be developed jointly with parents. If you are have any additional thoughts or suggestions, please fill in the contact the administrative team.
